Q. Do you diamond cut wheels? A. Yes—at Wheel Deal Alloys Ltd, we use precision-engineered templates and CNC lathes as well as highly skilled technicians to recreate the exact original finish through diamond cutting.
Q. Do you do different finishes and colours? A. Absolutely. We offer electrostatic powder coating, a full auto-mixing colour system, and specialist finishes including Candy colours and smoke lacquers tailored to your preference. We also offer powder coating for other items such as car parts, tools etc.
Q. Do you hand polish wheels? A. No—we no longer offer hand polishing as part of our services.
Q. Do you offer a same-day service for full refurbishment? A. No—our fastest option is next-day alloy wheel refurbishment, which must be scheduled in advance.
Q. Do you refurbish 2- and 3-piece wheels? A. Yes to most 2-piece wheels—we usually complete these without issues, though bolt removal can occasionally require extraction, helicoiling, and replacement. For 3-piece wheels, we can paint individual components but cannot machine or polish the outer rims, nor can we disassemble and rebuild them.
Q. Do you refurbish magnesium wheels? A. Yes—we can work with magnesium wheels
Q. Do you refurbish motorcycle wheels? A. Yes—but due to their complexity, ancillary parts (like bearings and discs) must be removed first. Diamond cutting takes longer due to the time needed to create and machine both sides with custom templates.
Q. Do you refurbish steel wheels? A. Yes—though heavily corroded steel wheels can pose challenges, and complete coverage may be difficult.
Q. Do you straighten wheels? A. Yes—we can repair bent wheels using specialist equipment and experienced technicians. We must inspect the damage before attempting a repair.
Q. Do you weld cracks? A. Yes—we have a fully qualified welder on site to repair cracked wheels, subject to prior inspection of the damage.
Q. Do you do bodywork or valeting? A. No—we specialise exclusively in wheels and do not offer bodywork or valeting services.
Q. How long does the process take? A. Typically, the refurbishment takes 2–3 days. For expedited service, we do offer next-day refurbishment, which must be booked ahead of time.
Q. Price of refurbishment? A. Offering a price list is difficult as every job is unique. For pricing details, please send in pictures or pop in and we can give you a fixed quote.
Q. What are your opening hours? A. We are open 08:00–17:00 Monday to Friday and 08:00–13:00 on Saturdays. We are closed on Sundays.
Q. What process do you use? A. Our refurbishment process begins with stripping any existing finish from the wheel, followed by damage repair, painting, optional diamond cutting, and finishing with a protective lacquer for durability and shine.
Q. What warranty do you offer? A. Warranty varies by finish: Painted all-over finish: 12-month warranty. Diamond-cut CNC lathe finish: 6-month warranty. Please note some exclusions may apply due to inherent wheel material faults.
